Safeguarding and community moderation
At Kalda we take our community safety very seriously. We want to be transparent with how we are keeping Kalda a safe space.
Community moderation
Community moderators
Each of our community moderators are DBS checked and are trained Mental Health First Aiders. We have a high ratio of community moderators to Kalda users to ensure that the community is actively monitored for posts that breach our community guidelines.
Community guidelines
No hateful language. We will not tolerate any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or other hate-speech or prejudiced or offensive language or behaviour within this group.
Confidentiality. Keep what is shared and discussed within the group confidential, don’t share it outside of the group. Keep the identities of members of the group private.
Safety. Kalda is not a crisis service. If you feel unable to keep yourself safe please use the ‘Urgent Support’ button in the app to access crisis services. If you feel someone else might be at risk of suicide, inform one of our friendly Kalda moderators by flagging the post rather than providing support to them yourself.
Crisis support
Kalda is not a crisis service and we cannot provide round-the-clock support, however, we do offer signposting within the platform.
